Your Certified In - Home Dog Trainer in Muskegon, MI
Finding the right dog trainer matters. You want someone qualified, experienced, and committed to humane, effective training methods that work in real life.

I'm a certified dog trainer providing positive reinforcement dog training in Muskegon, Mi and surrounding West Michigan communities. My approach focuses on clear communication, structure, and helping dogs and owners build lasting skills they can rely on every day.
Experience with Real-world dogs and Behavior Challenges
Since January 2023, I have led classes at the Humane Society of West Michigan, working with dogs and owners across a wide range of skill levels and behavioral needs.
In addition to teaching classes, I worked hands-on at the shelter as a behavior technician, supporting dogs with more complex challenges including fear, reactivity, and impulse control issues.
Shelter work requires adaptability and practical problem-solving. Dogs in these environments experience high stress, and helping them succeed means understanding behavior deeply, not relying on scripted techniques.

My Training Philosophy

Dogs learn best when they feel safe, supported and understood. My approach focuses on:
-
Clear communication between you and your dog
-
Building reliable obedience through positive reinforcement
-
Creating calm, confident behavior in real-life situations
-
Teaching owners simple, effective strategies they can use every day
My goal is to make training feel doable, supportive and tailored to your household — not overwhelming or confusing.

Why In-Home Training Matters
Dogs don't live in training facilities. They live in homes, neighborhoods and communities

In-home training allows me to:

-
Address behavior where it actually occurs
-
Customize training to your household and routine
-
Support dogs who struggle in group or high-distraction settings
-
Coach owners in real-time, real-life situations

This approach leads to clearer communication and more reliable results.
